This poster i quite like. It is one of the first designs i have done with the new way of looking at my designs, with being simple, bold and eye catching. It was done by taking the teapot stamp idea and stamp it to create a spiral moving inwards, to give connotations of somebody falling. Like Alcie in wonderland when she falls down into this mystical and crazy world. Which is the effect i was going for. Each tea cups also varies in color, from red, blue, green and yellow.
At this Point is was already looking good as it was really bright and colourful. But i just decided to give it a extra dimension and point of interest to make it more engaging, so i played around with some distortion effects. Which decided on this one which i think was a zig zag effect. The reason why i like it is the fact that it looks eye catching further away just as a weird shape, but when you go closer you can connect the shapes up to a tea cup.
