Trip to bus station site

Today we went down to the bus station site to have a look at the progress of the building now all the main structure was up. This meant we could have a much better understanding of the building and get  a sense of the environment our work would be in, as it is a very large space. From going to have a  look the layout was slightly different tot was i thought, as from looking at the plans it looked like it swooped around more on the backside where the buses would be.

They also showed us the roof which was really good as it gave us a chance to look at the solar panels and water storage system that the building has. Which is maybe a something i could incorporate into my designs as its obviously a big factor that the building is environmentally friendly as they wouldn't have spent all that money installing it. Also from going on the roof you get a extremely good sense of the buildings surroundings that it is in with the view up Watson Road and Newcastle avenue. This means i can evaluate my ideas to see if they can incorporate elements from this my designs fit in better.

Overall the trip was very useful as it gave me a bet
