Tim Noble and Sue Webster are two british artist who met in Nottingham trent university studying Fine Art and have now been collaborated for over 17 years. This duo do art work that challenge the normal conventions and create juxtaposition to highlighting opposites, to create work that has a greater meaning than what you originally see. For example a lot of their work consists of creating light imagery from objects that have no meaning or have any relevance to the image it creates, but when a light is shone onto it, it creates a very clear and detailed image. Which is actually very philosophical and creates a much more interesting image as it raises rhetorical questions that have no direct answer, all this comes from somewhat meaningless objects. They also have done sketches and print work which follows the same philosophy as their other work, but just done in a different way.
This was a artist i have looked at when toying with the idea of doing a mini installation looking at how light interacts with objects to change the whole meaning of a image or sculpture. But when researching into them i found we have a common style of working, as not only do they do 3D work they have experiment with lots of other styles of working involving, painting, printing, sketching, photography, light work and abstract. These bits of work all caught my eye and were extremely bold and simple. But what i liked about his work was that no matter what piece of work it was it all told a story and inspired people into diplicting their own meaning from the work. Like these for example
