mock final piece

I have tried to mock up a final piece out of some scrap bits of cardboard it is only very small about 3 inches tall to try and get a idea of how different shapes will fit together to create a great visual piece, that people will see different things in. These shapes have come from breaking down faces and pages after pages of drawing different geometric shapes, which to me resembles either a face or a feeling/ emotion people may feel. To do this i took some of the shapes i likes and sketched them onto some scrap card board i had and cut using a Stanley knife and a cutting mat to make sure i did cut all of my mums dining table! After this i then held the shapes up into the angles i wanted them to see wether they would fit, which if they would fit i made a small cut about a cm long in each part so that they would slot together and be supported by each other and lock into place.

Overall i like the way this little model looks even though it is only a draft mock piece. I have tried to just concentrate on portraiture as i wanted to concentrate on showing different emotions so that the audience could relate to it in some way. So obviously the human face is the main way to show emotions. Also i like the futurisum art movement which is associated around the vortacisum one, because of its mechanical feel. However in general i am not a big fan of the moment, as the work they do doest really stand out to me, but what i like is the philosophy behind it with looking to the future and not dwelling on the past. Which is something i hope i incorporated into this design.

The picture above is one of the sides that represents being happy and having a good time, with the repetitive face movement- like the futurist work.

This angle is meant to represent anger and violence. This is because the lines and angles have been sharpened and the shapes to me look like they are jumping out at you and it is being restrained, like a fight. Also it looks like somebody scowling at you, which provokes a lot of emotions in people which will hopefully draw people to it.

This side is slightly different to the rest to me it gives me a feeling of people being diplimatic and turning the other cheek. With the face pointing away from the argument. However other people i asked have got the feeling of somebody sulking. So people see different things which is a element about this model that I really like.
